Web3 Fleek hosting platform raises $25 million



Fleeka start-up company that offers a Web3 hosting and storage platform.has just completed a $25 million Series A with Polychain Capital, Arweave, Coinbase and others.

This Thursday, Fleek has announced that he has picked up $25 million as part of a funding round led by cryptocurrency investment firm. Polychain Capital.

Founded in 2018, Fleek offers hosting and storage services in various decentralized protocols such as IPFS. However, its current platform is still dependent on Web2 providers. such as Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare.

With this new round of funding, the New York-based startup plans to launch in 2023 Red Fleeka decentralized content and application delivery network.This time it will be completely independent and “censorship-resistant”.

With Fleek Network, we will give developers and organizations a simple and transparent mechanism for hosting and delivering content on the Web3 that will help deliver on the promise of a truly decentralized Internet,” said Harrison Hines, co-founder and CEO of Fleek, in a press release.

The Red Fleek Series A also attracted the decentralized storage protocol. Arweaveas well as the venture capital firms North Island Ventures and Argonautic Ventures.

The startup’s early backers, Coinbase Ventures and Digital Currency Group, have also dipped their hand back into the pot. Fleek closed two previous funding rounds in 2018 and 2020 (undisclosed amount).
