Video: Matt Damon makes a cryptocurrency ad and gets flamed on Twitter!

Fortune favors the brave, but Twitter is not friendly to Matt Damon’s crypto ad at the moment.

The Oscar-winning actor of ” The Untamed Will Hunting ” became the face of Crypto.com last year. It signed Damon as part of a $100 million ad campaign directed by the cinematographer of “Home” Wally Pfister, whose ads will air in more than 20 countries.

” I’ve never done a promotion like this” said Damon, who is also an investor in Crypto.com. He told Bloomberg that he was willing to ” Follow or die with the economy” but that he would not give up his work in the cinema either.

Perhaps it’s just as well. His first advertisement on Crypto.com, ” Fortune favors the brave” which has been screened at movie previews, during NFL games and shared on the Internet since last fall, has not been as well received on Twitter as its blockbusters, such as the films ” Bourne ” and “Alone on Mars,” by the public.

Matt Damon celebrates those who have taken risks throughout history in this ad ” Who embrace the moment and commit” . It passes by what appears to be a mountaineer climbing Everest, and the Wright brothers streaking across the sky in the one-minute spotlight, before stopping on a red planet, probably Mars.

” And in those moments of truth, those men and women, those mere mortals – like you and me – who stand on the precipice, calm their minds and temper their nerves with four simple words that have been whispered by the intrepid since Roman times: Fortune favors the brave” says Damon. Next, “Crypto.com” appears on the screen.
